4 Habits to Rewire your Brain for Success and Happiness

Permanent Solutions

I've always loved the idea of creating passive income so I don't have to work for a living. I achieved that with a duplex I owned by renting out both sides in 2014 so that I could travel the world with my family. Between 2021-2022 I sold the real estate and finances have crumbled.

In 2020 the relationship with my wife expired which led to the duplex being sold in 2021 and dividing finances. I blame covid haha just kidding.

On a serious note I've taken a few significant hits financially since marital separation. Regardless of that my plan is to re-create financial freedom from scratch.

I'd been free from having to work for the better part of 10 years and now it's time to face the unknown. I feel a bit scared in the uncertainty of how I'm going to achieve success and support 4 children as a single parent.

If uncertainty is unacceptable to you, it turns into fear. If it's perfectly acceptable, it turns into increased aliveness, alertness and creativity.

Eckhart Tolle

Something that helps dissipate the fear is to focus on what I want to manifest instead of how it will happen. After all, starting over after failing has been the path every successor. Failure precedes success.

I believe that life is a marvellous adventure. And it’s worthwhile to start again 20 times over.

Jose Mujica (Former president of Uganda)

Starting over seems daunting though. Especially considering the common perspective that you have to work really hard to achieve success, usually doing something you don't love.

Let's face it, adopting that mentality will only lead to burn out. You simply can't pursue a path of unfulfilling hard work to money over a long period and expect to be happy.

It may lead to financial abundance but also leads to stress and misery. Furthermore, stress over long periods leads to ailments in your physiology.

Money doesn't lead to happiness so why be unhappy in the process of acquiring it? Happiness stems from within regardless of the external world. It's a state of being rather than a life circumstance.

Lots of successful people become miserable shortly after becoming wealthy which proves success does not equal happiness. There are many celebrities that you may think have "arrived" but they're actually unhappy.

Another example is that you finally buy a house that you've always wanted. You're elated for a few months but after a while there are problems with the house that you need to repair.

It creates its own set of challenges. The feeling of being elated wears off.

So the "happiness" is temporary. True happiness is rooted in being connected with the source (your higher self).

This happiness is sustainable regardless of your finances and life circumstances.

You're either happy with very little or you'll never get anywhere

Jose Mujica

Success derives from both fulfilling and unfulfilling pursuits. With the internet now people are able to achieve financial freedom doing what they love.

There are many successful content creators on Youtube, Twitch, Twitter, Facebook, I.G. etc. There's also plenty of opportunity to create success in a service or product based business of any kind you choose.

The work is not work when you enjoy it so the hard working philosophy goes out the window! The path of success predicates upon the right attitude.

The outer conditions of a person's life will always be found to be harmoniously related to his inner state.

James Allen (Author— "As a Man Thinketh")

When you become comfortable with uncertainty, infinite possibilities open up in your life

Eckhart Tolle

Even from a place of defeat you can find opportunities to succeed. A trusting mindset allows them to manifest as opposed to if you cling to losses.

My dad just told me the story last night of how when him and my mom split up he had to sell a few pieces of real estate. After dividing finances he ended up $50,000 in the hole.

He felt afraid at 50 years old having to start life over again from scratch; however, within a few years of diligent work toward his visions he once again owns multiple real estate properties.

Fear is a motivator in itself and can drive you to greater heights when you channel the emotion into dedicated action. It's able to awaken the sleeping warrior which is within each of us.

Rather than dwell on a failure you can accept it as it is and embrace the path of restoration immediately. Replace thoughts of doubt with thoughts of desired outcome. As you stop reaffirming negative beliefs it creates new habits which result in new life circumstances.

Thoughts of courage, self reliance and decision crystallise into manly habits which solidify into circumstances of success, plenty and freedom

James Allen

Changes in thought patterns alter your entire world. Your changed reality is in exact ratio with your changed thinking. So when you adopt a success consciousness you fuel that reality.

Vision boards create empowering reminders of what you want to create. It shifts your focus on what you want to manifest in place of recycling doubt and worry.

Having visuals of goals provides direction which gives you the "why" behind what you do (purpose). This in turn fuels its manifestation.

Where attention goes, energy flows; Where intention goes, energy flows

James Redfield

Keep your mental state in check with self observation and self correction. Negative thoughts could arise throughout the day but as you begin to correct yourself, you ultimately rewire the circuitry of your mind. You begin to create life from a greater thought platform.

It may seem tedious at first to have to correct yourself 1000 times in the day but tedium breeds excellence. Deconstructing old patterns takes focused effort but every bit of effort is worth it.

People don't become successful overnight. Its the dedicated process that creates potential for massive results.

It starts with how you think. When you rewire your thoughts for success, your habits begin to follow, which paves the path to riches.

Some may say "You can't teach a dog new tricks" but that's simply a limiting belief that excuses the weak. If you want change, nothing can stop your will.

Here are 4 simple tools you can put into practise to permanently rewire your mind for success.

1) Theta State Brain Mantra

There are 2 powerful brain state techniques which rewire you for whatever you desire. The brain is in theta state at night so 10 minutes before sleeping is the most ideal time for affirmations. It is a time where the brain receives what it hears as law.

So the best way is to record your voice on a voice recording app on your phone with affirmations (a mantra). Mantras are extremely powerful when accompanied by silence. In other words play the affirmations while listening only without any preoccupation.

The affirmations download into your brain nightly so you'll gradually start to feel as though you've already achieved the outcome.

2) Work Backwards from Your Goals

To be happy with yourself in the present moment while maintaining a dream of your future is a grand recipe for manifestation.

Joe Dispenza

A vision board can be helpful if you have difficulty holding an image of what you want to manifest. This can be clippings from magazines or a pinterest folder that you can print out and look at daily as a reminder.

It's worth another mention that your thoughts and reality are inextricably connected. Remember to shift your focus to what you want to manifest if you find yourself in doubt or worry throughout the day.

Let a man radically alter his thoughts, and he will be astonished at the rapid transformation it will effect in the material conditions of his life.

James Allen

3) Choose a path of income and keep to it

If you're contemplating multiple options for income choose one and laser in on it. Deciding closes the gap between thinking about an idea and executing on it.

If you have trouble choosing it's best to choose the path where you can offer the most value to people based on your skills. Design a weekly schedule and stick to it.

You'll face challenges but persistence pays off in the long run. Discipline gets you far in life.

4) Develop a tranquil mind

The more tranquil a man becomes, the greater his success, his influence, his power for good. For people will ALWAYS prefer to deal with a man who’s demeanor is strongly equible.- As a Man Thinketh - James Allen

Meditation helps to embody tranquillity. It reduces the noise of compulsive thinking (which usually leads to restlessness). It's also a way of finding answers to life situations because mind chatter is eliminated.

Answers arise in spaciousness. Those answers provide solutions to solve challenges along the journey to success.

Start with 10 minutes of meditation daily and it will improve the quality of your life. It may seem like a tedious practise but every bit of effort is worth it.

The more you practise the more you're in touch with the source (nothingness). In the nothingness = infinite possibilities of creation. Answers arise from this silent space.

You have access to this throughout the day as well and not only in meditation. It's about observing yourself and being aware of your inner and outer world.

This state of mind allows you to catch negative thoughts that arise. Observe those thoughts and let them pass. They're simply an opportunity for you to acknowledge them for what they are.

If you find yourself in a negative thought loop you can set an intention to clear the thoughts causing it. With that intention set, meditate to discover answers.

Meditation allows you to slow those thoughts down and eventually return to the breath.

In that space of quietness answers and visions have opportunity to emerge. This equates to solutions to issues at hand.

We're conditioned to believe that we need to seek answers outside of us to get through life. That's a fallacy.

You are filled with all the answers you'll ever need in the space of silence. You are your greatest resource.
